What inspired you to start writing?
My love of movies and television. I would also like to think that my teachers and my family have inspired me to start writing as they have loved my imagination and ideas I’ve input into most of my stories.
When did you begin writing?
1st Grade
Who are some of the people who have influenced you to write?
My Family and my friends.
Who are your favorite authors and why?
JK Rowling and Stan Lee because most of their book series have been successful and their stories have kept me on the edge of my seat.
Tell us a little bit about The Disciple and how the idea came to you?
It’s a story about a man named James Wise who finds out he’s the last disciple of God. He uses bible verses and a cross that turns into a blade in order to vanquish demons. The idea came to me after watching the avengers and I decided maybe this book could be the start another superhero franchise.
What’s your goal for writing?
That one day my dreams will come to life on the big screen.
Are you looking to make writing your career?
Yes for sure.
What are you doing to become a better writer?
I’ve been taking free online classes from the Deerfield library and watching YouTube tutorials.
What would your advice be for people in your shoes who want to start writing and posting their stories online?
Creativity and originality is key when it comes to posting stories online.
Do you ever have fear of posting your stories and people might not like them?
Yes, but that doesn’t stop me from my passion.
What are you doing to gain exposure for your stories?
I’ve been using my different social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Wattpad. Also, I been creating flyers to pass out to different business.
What genre’s do you enjoy writing about?
Sci-fi, Action, Fantasy, Comedy, Thriller, and Mystery.
What are some of the other works you have besides The Disciple? What are some other projects you are working on?
Besides the disciple I have a youtube webseries I’m working in with a co-writer and looking for other writers to collaborate with on a Mystery thriller type book. I have also an idea writing a Martial Arts book in the near future
Where do you see yourself a year from now? 2 years from now? 5 years from now?
In the near I can probably see myself in charge of a writing company.
