This hilarious tale dates back to my Sophmore Year of High School. It was a time when Best Buy was still a thing and The Nortshore Immediate Care Center was a bookstore known as Borders. During this era, Northbrook Court was the hangout spot for High Schoolers. Blockbuster was still a place to rent the latest movie to come out. Well this has nothing to do with that. It was rainy night, and I had my two friends Deke who you all already know from my previous adventures and other my other friend Rick. The three of us were bored at my house with nothing to do. We had just eaten an early dinner ordering Pizza and breadsticks. A lightbulb then went off in Rick's head as he starts gazing outside of our clear glass front door.
"Chris...Deke. You guys wanna go out for a nightly stroll?" He asked the both of us.
The two looked at each other face palming ourselves and rolling our eyes as we grabbed our jackets and put on our shoes.
"Okay, we're in." I answered as I notified my mom and dad before walking out the door.
The three of us stepped outside as I closed the door behind me. Deke and I began having second thoughts about this idea as it started drizzling outside. The cement ground slippery and streets dark as the movie theaters in side the mall. Twenty minutes into the walk, Rick decided to dance on the sidewalk Moonwalking down the street.
"What is he doing?" Deke asked me as Rick continued dancing like Tobey Mguire in Spider-Man 3.
"I have no idea Deke. I just have no idea." I answered.
We had reached the crosswalk and the road was busy. Rick then, started doing military signs as he wanted us to run across the street into incoming traffic.
"OKAY GUYS! WE CAN DO THIS!" Rick yells out leading the way running across the streets as the cars started honking their horns.
"I have no idea Deke. I just have no idea." I answered.

"Is this guy trying to get us killed or something?" Deke asked me once again.
"Again I have no idea Deke." I answered.
"Again I have no idea Deke." I answered.
Deke and I walked normally as we didn't want to cause any trouble. In front of us was the Borders bookstore as Deke and I wanted to go in as we wanted to get out of the drizzling weather. Rick obligatory decided to go in as well. Deke and I walked around the bookstore heading up to the second floor. Rick went to the Magazine section skimming through a Paintball Magazine. As Deke and I, we decided to go to the sex section. There, we grabbed a book called 100 sex positions. The book had graphic nudity and explicit sex picture. The two of started laughing our butts off as we were trying not to garner any attention. Seconds later, an employee around mid 50's walked up to us with an angry look on his face.
"Excuse, may I ask what you're doing?" The Employee asked.
"We're just looking at this book." Deke answered as the employee took the book from us.
"We're just looking at this book." Deke answered as the employee took the book from us.
"Can I see some ID's please?" The Employee asked us as he took out some sort of flashlight as we pulled out our High School ID's. "It also says here, you're in High School. We have rules here. You have to be 21 in order to look at these types of books." He tells us as he continued questioning us.
"It's for health class." I answered making up some sort of alibi.
He started giving us the look pulling out a pen and paper. The Deke and I waited, but before he could ask us anything he decided, to make a quick phone placing the call on speaker.

"Hello?" The mysterious man answered on the other end.
"Um who's this?" The employee answered back.
"Is this you Leon?" The Man answered.
"Ned? What are you doing in my house?!" Leon asked as he place his pen and paper back in his pocket.
"Ned? What are you doing in my house?!" Leon asked as he place his pen and paper back in his pocket.
Deke and I started backing away cautiously, but Leon signaled us to stay put. From the looks of it, Leon seemed to be having problems at his house.
"Is Trish available?" Leon asked as Ned started devouring Trish's Cookies.
"MMMMMMMMMM....Trish's cookies are out of this world."
"Wait a second who told you....You can eat my cookies!" Leo yells.
Deke and I began laughing silently, as the arguement continued on the phone. Rick had made it to the second floor as well as we saw him walk the other way not wanting to be part of the situation. Deke and I then came up with an idea as Deke and I listened continued evesdropping on the conversation.
"Ned I need to speak to Trish."
"Well Leon....She in the shower. You want me to go check?"
"NO!" Leon yells as his voice echoed throughout the entire building. "Look on you're way out, tell Trish I'll be a few minutes late and not to worry."

"Don't worry she won't, I'm here and I'll keep her....mmmmmm these cookies!"
"PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN!.....NOW!" Leon yells as Deke and I walk up to him ready to answer any other questions he had for us. "So sorry about that... So where we're we?"
"Oh we're just about to say. We're truly sorry and it won't happen again." I answered as Deke looked at me with a shocked face.
Just like Leon the Borders Bookstore employee let us go as Rick looked at us laughing hysterically. The laughter was contagious as Deke and I joined in. As we exited the bookstore, the three vowed never to step foot in that store again. Fast foward to present day, Deke and I still talk about that day as which made me decide to tell this comedic tale
