Guyver Season Three: Episode 19

 

19. Time Against Us
Merrick’s Alternate-Self reveals to the team that he has been alive and faked his own death, inciting a protest of Zeus Industries Shutdown outside of the facility. He then explains that Sean (Balcus) plans to start a 100 Year War that leads to a Chronos takeover of the Human Race. Merrick, Melanie and his future self travel to Sean’s childhood home to figure out any parallels between the two, where they learn Sean’s parents were planning on having Balcus be his legal guardian before Tori signed for guardianship. Meanwhile, Sean’s evil counterpart launches an assault on Sean’s childhood home. During the assault, Vash succeeds in subduing at least Three Chronos Agents during the ambush. Sean Balcus makes his way towards the living room, but is intercepted by Merrick, his future self and Sean himself. As the two sides come to a stand still Sean’s evil counterpart makes the first move and everything starts popping off. As chaos ensues, Melanie sneaks out and causes a blackout in the house as Sean’s evil counterpart retreats. Melanie emerges from the chaos as Sean’s childhood is destroyed. Towards the episode's end, Sean finally decides to take the fight to his evil counterpart after seeing a picture of his parent’s torn up.
